Robert (Roy) Court
With over forty years experience in Research, Process Design and New product Development in world markets, Roy brings to Longcourt a broad spectrum of skills honed in the commercial reality of the drinks industry. Roy is a qualified distiller and maltster with experience in the Scottish and Irish whiskey industries. He has assisted in the development of a number of new products which are now established brands Roy has been appointed to the United Nations Industrial Development Organisation panel of experts and has undertaken one assignment for the U.N. in Sri Lanka.
Noreen, with thirty years experience as a flavourist and in New Product development for a major distiller, is qualified both in Quality Control and as a Laboratory Technician. She has been instrumental in the development of a number of new products in industries ranging from confectionery to soft drinks, spirits and liqueurs.
Ruth Court holds a B.Sc Toxicology (Hons), from Athlone Institute of Technology; a Post Graduate Diploma in Brewing & Distilling from Edinburgh’s Heriot-Watt University; a Diploma in Renewable Energy from Clemson University South Carolina. She is a member of the Institute Of Brewing and Distilling (IBD) and the Irish Craft beer society (Beoir). She enjoys Craft Ales and spirits especially Gin and Whiskey, she brings this interest and passion into the development of flavour profiles through experimentation with distillation and maturation.
